Fine Pair of Regency Period Japanned Open Armchairs, the turned toprail having a tablet center decorated with polychrome  and gilt swags and having a central horizontal pierced splat with central tablet with gilt musical instruments and a lower pierced horizontal splat with central tablet decorated with overlapping palm fronds.  The downswept arms with turned urn shaped uprights and having a caned seat above an apron decorated with gilt panels and ivory line inlay, on ring-turned front legs ending in toupie feet.  English circa 1800
