Fine & Rare Queen Anne Period Japanned Pier Mirror having a shaped cresting and decorated with chinoiserie figures, birds, plants etc. in gold and polychrome colors, retaining the original two beveled mercury glass mirror plates. English c.1715.  The frame re-japanned in the Regency Period c.1820.
Very fine Adam period carved and giltwood overmantle mirror in three sections having an egg and dart and bead carved cornice. The ends feature a top scroll with flowerhead carving above an outcurvate larger scroll with a flowerhead and acanthus leaf. The end plates bordered with guilloche and beading and centering the original beveled plate above berried laurel leaf carving. English, c. 1775
Very fine carved giltwood Adam mirror with carved rope and ribbon ornament centered by a patera above a classical urn with flowers. The oval mirror surround with beaded border, the bottom with incurvate leaf pendant ornament. English, c. 1785

Fine Regency Giltwood and Ebonized Convex Mirror in the Egyptian Taste, having an ebonized spread winged carved eagle surmount with gilt balls and chain suspended from its beak, on a raised central gilt plinth having applied meandering Greek key motif framing an ebonized 3/4 relief carved female Egyptian goddess flanked on either side by tall finely carved rush leaves, the original silvered convex plate having a reeded ebonized inner frame surrounded by carved ebonized leaf tips and having applied gilt balls to the outer frame with carved ebonized interlaced ribbons to the outer moulded edge, the two upturned gilt candle arms with ebonized sphinx heads and turned brass candle holders and bobeches, above a centrally mounted 3/4 relief carved ebonized lion head framed by shaped gilt acanthus leaf carving above a cluster of pendant gilt palm fronds.
